Since the island is one of the top Greek holiday destinations, it is easy to travel to Corfu, either via ferry or plane.

City buses start from Corfu Town – San Rocco Square, Liston Square, Corfu Port, or Methodiou Street – depending on the destination.
All long-distance buses to North and South Corfu and the cities of mainland Greece start from the Corfu Green Bus Terminal, located at Leoforos Eptanisou Str. (Eptanisou Avenue).

The frequency and availability of the routes are seasonal. During summer, itineraries are increased to serve visitors other than locals.

Travel to Corfu by plane or ferry

All ferries depart from the New Port on the edge of Corfu Town. The inner sector serves Igoumenitsa/Paxos, while the outer sector serves Italy and Albania. Free shuttle buses operate within the port.

Standard luggage up to 50kg is usually free. Pets travel for free in designated areas or on open decks with a leash and muzzle. For Italy, an updated pet passport is required.

For foot passengers, you can usually find tickets at the port. However, if you are traveling with a car, booking online is the only way to guarantee a spot during busy summer hours.

The main connection to the Greek mainland (every 1 hour). Choose “Closed-type” vessels for speed (1 hour) or “Open-type” (1.5 hours) for a more scenic experience.

Access via Flying Dolphins (55 minutes). In summer, routes are daily, but seats are limited. We highly recommend booking at least 1 week in advance.

Direct connections to the Adriatic coast. Ideal for travelers coming from Europe with their own vehicle. Book a cabin months in advance for summer.
